How soon can somone fly in airplane to australia after getting a tattoo? |

I want to get a tattoo on my ankle on my birthday, the 17th, I am then flying to australia on the 21st. I really want to get it done but am concerned about my feet or ankles swelling on the plane and if this will effect the tattoo. I know i could wait but i really want to get it done. Anyone have any answers? |

Foot and ankle tattoos can swell. By the fourth day it should be diminished but you will not be healed. If you came into my studio I would definitely advise you to wait. You will be exposing it to sun, etc., I am sure on your trip, and it is not going to be ready for all that. |

I have never had a problem swelling up on a plane for starters so I wouldn't think it would affect your tatt? If you do swell it would only be minimal.Just wear something that you know wont rub on it and enjoy your flight. |

swelling shouldn't be a problem on a new tattoo. just make sure you clean and prep ur tattoo before the flight. and depending on where u live the flight might b really long, so clean and prep it again when you get to ur destination before passing out from jet lag, lol. you might want to make sure and cover the tattoo with something (plastic wrap or large gauze bandaging) so you don't scratch the tattoo during the flight since i'm sure u'll fall asleep at some point. |

it wont have an affect. the tattoo will only be affected by the sun fading it. you should be careful with what shoes you wear though. if its still scabbing up, you dont want to wear shoes that will rub the scab off. |

Are you kidding me? If you are asking this question, I doubt you are mature enough to be making a decision that will affect you for the rest of your life. |
